American International School of Mozambique
April 2016 – Present
Together with a team, I design and facilitate opportunities where students, teachers and community partners come together for social impact. I’ve engaged with 300+ students and a range of 25 community partners, in diverse regions of Maputo. I’m further engaged in the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA), as a Service Learning practicioner, and an advocate for community-engaged learning.

World Vision Mozambique
Jan 2017 – Jun 2017
After assembling a team of 10 youth volunteers, I facilitated several workshops, discussions and dialogues surrounding Child Marriage, Early Pregnancy and Children’s Rights.
Further contributed to World Vision Mozambique’s incoming national strategy, with particular focus to the Technical Approach (TA) on Child Protection, in a working group consisting of representatives from areas of the country in which WV is active.

University of Pretoria – Department of Political Science
August 2015 – November 2015
Once in the academic faculty of the Department of Political Science on campus, I assisted with tutoring 25 first year students of Political Studies. My responsibilities included disseminating curriculum from lectures, and engaging students in relevant and challenging discussions, as well as employing a variety of teaching and facilitating methods in our discussions.

This intervention focused on the much needed dialogue between the self and the body. Looking at different ways in which we perceieve “nakedness” and “nudity” in culture, to heighten self-awareness and encourage better, genuine relationships.
